It’s Cats’ bird meat!
John Catsimatidis is willing to go the extra mile for ostriches. A very rich man named Gristedes is speaking out against what he calls a “scientific and ethical disgrace” at the Universal Ostrich Farm in British Columbia, where the Canadian Food Inspection Agency plans to kill almost 400 of the long-legged birds.
Cats doesn’t want to put his head in the sand! He thinks that the big birds that are being killed because of bird flu should be used for useful study instead.
“There is credible evidence that these ostriches may hold life-saving antibodies,” the 77 WABC owner’s team said. They also said that “researchers from Kyoto Prefectural University in Japan have found extraordinary potential in ostrich eggs to combat major diseases, including avian flu.”
The store mogul yelled, “Test them before you kill them!” “These birds could be the key to making big steps forward in medicine.” The government is killing instead of looking into things, and we need to know why. Who stands to gain from that silence?” What the flock?!
Catsimatidis said, “There’s no reason for this destruction.” Cats says that people are so upset about it that his radio station has gotten “thousands” of calls, texts, and emails. “The facts are there.” People are ready. The only thing that’s stopping them is red tape and maybe a few drug companies that don’t want a natural fix.
