AggronympH’s *Shivers In My Veins* offers a dark, emotionally charged take on electronic gothic metal, setting atmospheric beauty against crushing heaviness. Released in February 2015, the eight-track album moves between shimmering ambient passages, grinding distorted guitars, pounding percussion, and haunting vocals, creating a sound that is both dramatic and deeply personal. Melancholy permeates the record, though moments of warmth and hope repeatedly surface from the darkness.

The instrumental opener, “The Emptiness Within,” sets the tone with remarkable delicacy. Its billowing, airy atmosphere evokes drifting through layers of clouds, as glistening textures and rustling cymbals gradually yield to harder beats and a more forceful rhythm. “Feels Like A Lie” takes a more abrasive turn, beginning with fluid lightness before buzzing distortion and grinding guitars take over. Karu’vee Yang Shu’s gentle, despondent vocals emerge through the haze, adding vulnerability to lyrics about loneliness, emotional uncertainty, and a relationship falling apart.

“Instincts,” featuring Peter, introduces rap to the mix. His nearly inaudible delivery stands in contrast to the softer female vocals. “Overdose” intensifies the emotional weight, exploring loss, isolation, and the struggle to continue after the death or departure of someone important. The title track is another highlight: its shimmering opening masks a rumbling rhythmic force, before Shu’s soft voice drifts mournfully over grinding guitars and pounding beats.

“Adhar (Darkness),” featuring Tahrima Islam and Abdallah Bin Haque Ratul, begins with a gentle introduction before building into forceful guitars, thunderous beats, and crashing cymbals. Its Bengali lyrics examine the resurfacing of buried emotions and the quest to reclaim a lost sense of self. At the other end of the emotional spectrum, “Incompleteness” dwells on isolation and unfulfilled yearning, while the final instrumental, “AggronympH,” gradually fades with luminous, contemplative piano. Its elegant melody offers an unexpectedly tender goodbye.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Saad Al Sami Arnob at InternalChaos Studio, the album brings together musicians from China and Bangladesh, lending its collaborative character an international reach. Moving through a range of moods, Shivers In My Veins brings electronic experimentation, gothic atmosphere, and metal’s unfiltered emotional force into striking balance.
